FORMALIZED CURIOUSITY
In 2017, I began research on the morbidity and mortality of tornado outbreaks in Texas during an REU program at Texas A&M University. I have since refined and presented this work at two international conferences as well as published my findings in the Professional Geographer journal. Check out more on this research here.
My Master's thesis research was conducted on the elements of cartographic design and content found in maps made by children in the 5th through 8th grade, investigating what elements of the environment are included and how the children choose to visually represent the geography around them.
